Introduction to the Wheel
Learn to use the pottery wheel in this two-day course.
This introductory course is designed for people who have never worked with a pottery wheel or who have very basic knowledge.
Throughout two sessions you will learn the fundamental techniques for working with clay on the wheel and creating your first pieces.
The first session focuses on centering the clay and learning to control the movement of the wheel while shaping simple pieces.
In the second session, we will review the completed pieces, rework them and prepare them for firing.
The course is usually held once a month, on the following Friday and Saturday afternoons, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day.
It is also possible to take the course individually on another date, within the workshop's opening hours. In this case, please get in touch with us to make a reservation.
