Intensive course: Surface decoration with slips
Discover the multiple decorative possibilities that slips offer. In this intensive three-day course, you will learn different surface decoration techniques and apply them directly to your own pieces. The course is aimed at both people with basic knowledge of ceramics and ceramicists who want to expand their technical resources.
Through demonstrations and practical exercises, you will discover how to use slips to create expressive, graphic, or pictorial surfaces. Experimentation and the creative process are combined with the learning of solid and well-founded techniques.

Fundamentals of working with slips
Color mixing
Painting with slips
Sgraffito
Mishima (inlay technique)
Transfer techniques
Stencils and masking
Wax resist and layered decorations
Splashes, textures, and surface effects
Combination of slips with reliefs and textures
During the course, various test pieces and personal works will be created to experiment and combine the different techniques.
